About Middleburg Humane Foundation
Middleburg Humane Foundation (MHF) takes in companion animals, equines, and livestock from a variety of situations such as hoarding cases, medical emergencies, owner relinquish, and transfers from crowded shelters. We ensure the animals receive baseline veterinary care to include a physical exam, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip. Animals that require extensive veterinary care receive this care in the medical wing of our facility. We socialize the animals, either through enrichment activities at the shelter or foster home placement. When the animals are ready for adoption, our Adoption Counselor works with each potential adopter to ensure they go home with an animal who is suited for their lifestyle.
